Jubilee Insurance, a leading player in the insurance industry, is seeking a dynamic and qualified individual to join their team as an Accounts Assistant. This role involves analyzing key financial information to optimize financial planning and supporting the senior accountant in asset management and premium reconciliation.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Maintain the direct debit master file for all clients.
2. Initiate collections to the respective banks as and when they fall due.
3. Act as the lead contact for the respective banks.
4. Lead the automation of direct debit integrations.
5. Enhance and maintain internal controls at an acceptable level.
6. Conduct bank reconciliations and submit them for review and approval.
7. Review and reconcile different General Ledger accounts.
8. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
9. Track all reconciling items with the different banks.
10. Manage related party reconciliations.

Key Deliverables:

1. Direct debit mandate management.
2. Achieve over a 90% direct debit successful rate.
3. Efficiently manage banks, ensuring timely onboarding of clients.
4. Resolve all complaints within the speculated turnaround time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance) or any other related field.
• CPA/ACCA qualifications.

Relevant Experience:

• At least 3 years’ experience in a busy HR department.
