Bank of India (U) Ltd is currently accepting applications for the position of Human Resource Manager at its Kampala/Head Office branch. This full-time role presents an opportunity for suitably qualified Ugandan Citizens to join the bank’s team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects related to Human resources, employee development, and fostering a positive workplace culture within Bank of India (Uganda) Ltd.
• Responsible for talent acquisition, performance management, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
• Maintain a pay plan, conduct job evaluations, and implement pay structure revisions.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Conduct background checks during the onboarding process.
• Maintain work structure by updating job requirements and descriptions for all staff.
• Identify vacancies, arrange recruitment programs and interviews.
• Prepare employees for assignments by conducting orientation and training programs.
• Resolve issues pertaining to the HR department identified by internal auditors, external auditors, and regulators.
• Talent management, HR planning, administration, and governance control.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the bank.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Human Resource Management or a Business-related field with a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution.
• Three (3) years of working experience as a Human Resource Officer/Manager in a Bank/Financial Institution is essential.
• Ability to lead a team.
• Highly organized with multitasking abilities.
• Basic knowledge of computer operations is necessary.
