Join Plan International’s Graduate Trainee Program designed to prepare and orient Ugandan graduates for effective roles in Monitoring and Evaluation, Finance, and Operations Departments. This 11-month program offers training and hands-on experience in key areas.

Position Title: Graduate Intern – Monitoring & Evaluation / Finance & Operations / Project Management

Reporting to: Various Supervisors based on Department/Location

Key Duties:

M&E Graduate Interns:

  1. Design and implement project monitoring tools.
  2. Support data collection initiatives and ensure the use of appropriate tools.
  3. Monitor project activities and report progress towards targets.
  4. Participate in capacity building initiatives.
  5. Contribute to project research, evaluation, and learning initiatives.
  6. Participate in monthly project review meetings and share key findings.

Finance and Operations Graduate Interns:

  1. Receive and direct visitors.
  2. Analyze and process utility bills.
  3. Manage office and premises.
  4. Handle petty cash processing.
  5. Assist in store and stock management.
  6. Process basic payments, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
  7. Assist in journal and statutory reporting.
  8. Support internal and external audits.
  9. Ensure adherence to Plan International’s global policies for safeguarding children.

Educational Requirements and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Finance, Project Management, Social Work).
  • Graduated between 2020 and 2024 with a Second-Class upper degree.
  • Available transcripts.
