Job Description/Requirements
Job Title: Field Coordinator

Department: Operations

Reports to: Operations Manager

Start Date: April 1, 2024

About Us

Our client is a global non-profit dedicated to providing safe drinking water to schools. The company delivers reliable, low-cost water treatment technologies to public and private schools in  Nigeria, Kenya, and Uganda and finances its operation through carbon emission reductions resulting from the displacement of boiling water.

To date, over 45,000 schools and 16m+ students have been reached. Over time, the company aims to expand its model to reach 100,000+ schools.

Background Context

In Uganda, our primary focus has been installing and maintaining multi-stage Ultra-Violet (UV) systems in schools. Due to water infrastructure and electricity limitations, we are not able to install these UV systems in most schools.

To help all public schools in Uganda get access to solutions to have safe drinking water, we are piloting a program to distribute chlorine tablets with high-quality 100L water tanks + a behavior change communication program to train teachers and students on using the systems.

Our plan is to deliver these tanks and tablets to schools and also visit them twice a year to conduct behavior change communication, teaching the importance of safe drinking water and encouraging the continued use of the system. Below are some pictures of the process in action in Kenya.

If the pilot is successful, we aim to scale the chlorine tablet program to 10-15,000 public schools acros Uganda in 2025.  As we rapidly scale our operations in Uganda, we need to bring on multiple field coordinators to drive this expansion.
