Job Description: Coca-Cola Beverages Africa [CCBA], the largest African Coca-Cola Bottler, is looking to hire a SHEQ Manager for its subsidiary, Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda Limited. As the SHEQ Manager, you will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop a SHEQ system implementation plan in liaison with the Business System Coordinator.
- Build relationships with Government Sectors and stay updated with new regulations.
- Manage product and package quality by facilitating investigations of deviations and proactively implementing corrective actions.
- Coordinate and ensure the review of Plant risk assessments.
- Ensure an effective Consumer Response Programme.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure all SHEQ issues are considered and included in Capital Expenditures (Capex projects).
- Conduct SHEQ training and induction for all stakeholders at all levels.
- Formulate and manage the annual Department budget.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.
Skills, Experience & Education: Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Food Science or Industrial Chemistry, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- Three years of leadership experience in a SHEQ role in the FMCG industry, preferably in a Bottling Plant.
- Knowledge of Quality Management systems, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and ISO will be an added advantage.
- Advanced computer skills are a must.
- Strong analytical thinker with decision-making ability.
- Disciplined ability to drive the achievement of Functional team objectives against Strategy.
