About the Role:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse to join our client’s fast-growing kindergarten and primary school in Wakiso. The School Nurse will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services, promoting wellness, and ensuring the overall well-being of pupils.

Job Purpose:
The School Nurse will be responsible for providing healthcare services, managing behavioral health concerns, connecting pupils and families with health resources, and creating individualized care plans to support pupil’s health needs. The role emphasizes disease prevention, health promotion, and equitable access to healthcare services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct health screenings, provide first aid, and make referrals for further medical attention when necessary.
• Develop and monitor health plans tailored to the individual needs of pupils.
• Assess and monitor pupils’ health status, identifying any health concerns or emerging issues.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a certificate in Nursing or Comprehensive Nursing, with registration with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
• A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in nursing.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with pupils, families, and colleagues.

Work Hours: 8 hours per day

Level of Education: Professional Certificate
