Job Description: As a Receivables Accountant at CoRSU, you will play a crucial role in managing the hospital’s accounts and ensuring the timely invoicing and claiming of receivables. Working closely with various departments, including Finance, Billing, and Credit, you will maintain accurate receivables ledgers, provide excellent customer care, and supervise the credit officers. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing monthly income reports, reducing outstanding receivables, and ensuring compliance with receivables management policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely invoicing and claiming of receivables.
  • Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date receivables ledger.
  • Providing excellent customer care to clients.
  • Supervising credit officers to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Preparation of monthly income reports reconciled to cash receipts, receivables, and donor contributions.
  • Reducing outstanding receivables to acceptable rates per policy.
  • Ensuring up-to-date MOUs for all clients (partners, insurance, and donors).
  • Designing receivables management policies in line with the finance manual.
  • Accurate and timely reporting of donor contributions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/commerce (Accounting option).
  • ACCA/CPA qualification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in revenue management.
  • Membership in professional accounting body CPAU or ACCA.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in Accounting Standards, especially relevant to revenue and income recognition.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel and financial databases.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Training and experience in debtors/receivables management.
  • Experience in the NGO/Not-for-Profit sector.
  • Understanding of disability issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a good understanding of cultural diversity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages and enterprise-level ERP systems.

Work Hours: 8 hours per day

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
