Job Summary: Applications are sought from suitably qualified individuals to fill vacant positions at various esteemed healthcare institutions including the Ministry of Health – Headquarters, Mulago National Referral Hospital, Kawempe Referral Hospital, Kiruddu Referral Hospital, and Ministry of Health – Regional Referral Hospitals (MoH-RRH). The successful candidates will play a vital role in maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring efficient documentation, and contributing to the smooth operation of healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update medical records in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Organize, classify, and file medical records ensuring confidentiality and security.
- Retrieve medical records for authorized personnel and ensure their timely availability.
- Assist in audits, quality assurance activities, and regulatory compliance related to medical records management.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
- Provide support during audits, inspections, and accreditation processes.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in medical records management.
Requirements:
- No specific educational or professional experience requirements.
- Proficiency in computer applications and basic data entry skills.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and record-keeping practices is advantageous but not mandatory.
