JOB DETAILS:

Job Title: IT Security Officer
Reports: IT Security Manager

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Safeguard BUBL’s Information Technology assets and data from security threats.
• Implement and manage security measures to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement information security safeguards and test functionality and effectiveness.
• Coordinate system security configurations, patching, and vulnerability assessment.
• Provide security awareness training to employees.
• Make periodic reports to management on cybersecurity posture.
• Implement, maintain, and enforce policies, procedures, and measures to protect information at BUBL.
• Manage perimeter & Web Access firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Develop and implement information security and disaster recovery programs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Professional qualifications like CEH, CHFI, CISA, or CISSP will be an advantage.
• Minimum three years varied IT experience in a similar working environment.

Skills & Competences

• Information security.
• IT security, risk assessment, and management.
• System and infrastructure security architecture design.
• Ability to communicate security-related concepts to technical and non-technical staff.
• Experience in cyber security controls and incident handling.
• Knowledge of banking regulations/guidelines relating to cyber security.
