JOB DETAILS:
Landy Industries Ltd, a prominent manufacturer of plastics, shoes, and gumboots (EVA, PVC), operating in Uganda since 2009, is seeking a dynamic and creative Human Resource Manager. Our company imports high volumes of EVA, LDPE, PVC, DOP, and other chemicals for our manufacturing processes. The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in hiring, training, and evaluating team members, as well as ensuring that our products consistently meet quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage people and resources within the organization.
• Develop and implement employee policies and practices.
• Provide leadership and guidance to employees regarding their roles and responsibilities.
• Monitor the work environment and effectively report to the immediate supervisor.
• Utilize conflict resolution techniques for issues that may arise between supervisors, employees, and managers.
• Maintain proper record-keeping techniques.
• Generate employee training programs and manage them effectively to ensure understanding and compliance with HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements:

• At least two (2) years of experience in factory-related human resource activities.
• Proficient in computing skills beyond basic operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution.
• Ability to plan and execute activities within given schedules.
• Willingness to develop expertise for all factory staff.

Work Hours: 8 per day

Experience: 24 months

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
