About Raising The Village:
Raising The Village (RTV) is dedicated to supporting communities in Uganda through sustainable development programs. We are seeking four District Heads to join our team, providing leadership and guidance to our programs across multiple districts.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

• Report weekly plans to Team Leads, covering activities and deliverables.
• Debrief with Team Leads and Officers on project progress, identifying key issues and risks.
• Ensure timely execution of projects from identification to evaluation.
• Strategic growth planning, recruitment, supervision, and training of program staff.
• Strategic planning and execution of initiatives to further RTV’s mission.

Methodology

• Provide feedback on project designs and methodologies.
• Support implementation and transition activities.

Supervision

• Coordinate initial project visits and resolve challenges.
• Monitor performance of program staff.
• Maintain strong working relationships within teams.

Administration

• Conduct ongoing interviews and track performance.
• Complete financial reports and necessary reporting for local government.
• Support recruitment and prepare office accountability reports.

Personal and Skills Development

• Develop skills in RTV’s focus areas.
• Provide input in skills development of team members.
• Conduct performance evaluations for team leads.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• University Degree in Social Work, Project Planning, Community Development, or related fields.
• Master’s or Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management preferred.
• Minimum of five years’ experience, with three years at a senior management level.
• Strong communication skills in English and local dialects.
• Strong Computer Skills with knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong training & facilitation skills.
• Reliable, with high integrity and strong work ethic.
• Able to work as part of a team and keep a positive attitude in a challenging environment.
• Physically able to travel and hike high terrain.

Work Hours: 8 hours
Experience in Months: 60
Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
