JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose Statement: To support the building of a strong, reputable, and trusted brand that positions NCBA Uganda as a leading digital-first, innovative bank among our target market. The Creative and Digital Marketing Officer will be responsible for creating visually impactful designs for various mediums, including digital platforms, print, and promotional items. Additionally, they will assist in executing the bank’s digital communications strategy in line with defined growth objectives.

Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities):

Financial (15%):

  • Support budget planning, control, and expense management objectives by project.
  • Manage budgets for assigned areas and ensure adherence to Finance/Procurement processes.
  • Measure ROI, deliverables, and capture earnings for continuous improvement.

Internal Business Processes (30%):

  • Champion the company’s digital marketing & social media guidelines across the business.
  • Conceptualize and create visually stunning designs for various mediums.
  • Review and enhance digital communication materials for brand consistency.
  • Monitor and measure community engagement success and provide reports.
  • Develop engaging multimedia content to enhance user experience.
  • Apply marketing research to understand emerging trends and technologies.

Customer (45%):

  • Develop and take ownership of content calendars for assigned Business Units.
  • Create, develop, and manage content for social and web presence.
  • Design, create, and manage promotions and online ad campaigns.
  • Coordinate community postings and ensure up-to-date content on all digital assets.
  • Monitor online discussions, respond timely, and resolve emerging issues.
  • Support cross-functional teams to ensure brand integration in projects.

Learning and Growth (10%):

  • Continuous evaluation of digital marketing activities and documentation of earnings.
  • Train other staff on online community engagement.

Ideal Job Specifications:

Academic:

  • University degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional qualification in Marketing is an advantage.

Professional:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experienced in digital marketing and communications with knowledge of consumer insights.
  • Ability to develop digital marketing strategies and communicate recommendations effectively.
  • Up-to-date with latest marketing trends and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent administration, organizational, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage conflict and possess strategic thinking skills.

Desired Work Experience:

  • 2-3 years’ relevant experience in managing content and production.
  • Proficiency in Project Management skills.
