Summary:
Old Mutual is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and executing direct marketing and sales activities to extend insurance services to Microfinance Institutions and Cooperatives. If you are passionate about driving growth, building strategic relationships, and achieving business goals, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact a minimum of 4 targeted SACCOs per day to increase insurance premium sales.
  • Develop and implement a marketing strategy for Microfinance Institutions and SACCOs to achieve set business goals.
  • Build a master database of leads and develop monthly qualified prospects.
  • Implement the SACCOASSURANCE revenue channel by onboarding new partners and opening retail distribution channels for various insurance policies.
  • Establish an efficient operational structure and performance management framework for regional coordinators.
  • Produce accurate, quality, and timely reports for production and management review.
  • Ensure aggressive selling of relevant products/services through presentations and follow-ups.
  • Maintain relationships with key strategic partners.
  • Drive growth and sales training among targeted distribution channels.
  • Develop a compelling customer value proposition for SACCOs.
  • Monitor market intelligence and advise management on opportunities and threats.
  • Identify areas to build brand presence through strategic relationships.
  • Execute other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with the business strategic plan.
