JOB DETAILS:
The Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities invites applications for apprenticeship opportunities in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector. This initiative aligns with Objective 4 of the NDP III, focusing on developing a skilled workforce within the tourism value chain, ensuring decent working conditions, and fostering career growth opportunities for Ugandans.

Objectives of the On-the-Job Training Programme:

• Provide hands-on working experience to professionals aspiring for careers in the tourism and hospitality industry.
• Equip young graduates with relevant skills, bridging the school-to-work transition gap, and enhancing employability and productivity.
• Foster the development of locally skilled workers, reducing the dependency on foreign labor and minimizing business costs.
• Engage employers in training to ensure graduates possess skills aligned with market demands in the tourism sector.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism, Leisure, and Hospitality from a recognized University or Institution.
• Completed studies between 2020 to 2024 and currently unemployed.
• Applicants must specify their preferred trade of interest.

Experience:
