Location: Nabbingo(1), Matugga(1), Mukono(1), Jinja(1), Kampala(1), Gulu(1), Fort Portal(1)

Role:
The Hardware Installation Technician will be responsible for installing, monitoring, and providing support for motorcycle tracking systems in line with company guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the recovery team in field tracking to recover from non-compliant clients and stolen bikes.
• Align and assign tracking devices with motorcycles according to company guidelines.
• Install, configure, and maintain trackers.
• Review offline trackers and those of impounded bikes.
• Remove tracking devices for finished loans and install for impounded bikes being resold.
• Perform hardware upgrades, repairs, and replacements as necessary.
• Resolve hardware-related issues promptly.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on motorcycles.
• Collaborate with the IT team for hardware and software compatibility and integration.
• Maintain an inventory of all hardware equipment and track changes.
• Create and maintain documentation on hardware installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures related to hardware installation, maintenance, and security.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Specifications:

• Certificate in Automotive Mechanics or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience or apprenticeship training in hardware installation, tracking system installation, management, and security.
• Knowledge and skills in the use of computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment under minimal supervision.
• Patient in finding and fixing faults.
• Good physical strength and stamina.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions and be on call at all times.
