Title: Assistant Relationship Managers – Personal Banking

Full-time Position

Duty Stations: Fort Portal and Mbarara

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage client relationships and accounts to minimize attrition.
2. Source new personal banking business opportunities in coordination with the sales team and other units.
3. Adhere to KYC and AML policies and procedures.
4. Cross-sell bank products, including assets, liability, and electronic banking products.
5. Initiate personal loans applications and ensure good underwriting practices.
6. Prepare and submit relevant reports.
7. Manage personal banking portfolios and monitor daily branch budget for all accounts.
8. Conduct sales calls and gather market intelligence.
9. Monitor overdrawn, inactive, dormant, and zero-balance accounts and initiate relevant reports.
10. Receive and resolve or escalate both verbal and written customer complaints, updating the complaints register.
11. Perform risk profiling of potential clients and ensure adherence to KYC and AML policies and procedures.
12. Any other duties allocated from time to time.

Knowledge, Experience, and Personal Competencies:

• Degree in Business and/or Finance.
• Good understanding of banking products, policies, and procedures.
• Sound knowledge of KCB bank products and processes, such as account opening and documentation.
• Credit knowledge, including understanding and interpretation of financial statements.
• Understanding of behavior and application scoring systems and how to use relevant scoring software.
• Understanding of risk management principles, credit scoring principles, and procedures.
• Possession of fine underwriting skills and a good understanding of personal credit processes.
• Understanding of competitors and their products and services.
